As I was fighting the wind out on Rt. 36 today in Boulder, I started to think about how unlucky I was, when I left my house it was 60 degrees and sunny, not a cloud in the sky.....Now it's cloudy, wind is howling, almost pushing my skinny runners frame along with bike out into the road where big-rigs are routinely passing me at 70 MPH's!! Who hasn't felt like cheating death every-so-often, but along with that surge of adrenaline, there was also the annoying fact of being on a flat going 12 MPH... Then again, it's not so bad, I could be on Mt. Washington, or Amarillo, TX... check it out:
Windiest place on earth
windiest cities
This blog is dedicated to tracking the evolution of my race season throughout the 2011 calander year. This will include race updates and stories, and possibly pieces of advice picked up along the way as I progress through early, peak and then late season racing as a member of Runners Roost race team (a local run club) and of Erin Baker's Tri-Team (a national Tri-team).

Despite 60 degree weather
First post of the new year, just checking it out, see if everything works...
It is going to be very nice today so get outside! However, it is still the time of the year when riding inside is still a necessity sometimes, so if you don't have your own indoor set up, check out these two local boulder indoor riding places:
D3 Energy Lab-Computrainer workouts
Fascat coaching- power based training
I've been to both places and enjoyed the experience, awsome people and state of the art technology! A great way to keep the motivation and improvement at a high level!
Hope to keep this blog rolling throughout 2011...
